About

We're so glad you're here. Our story started when we realized that our region lacked an indoor, accessible, equitable place to play pickleball. There are many outdoor courts here in Southern Oregon, which are typically full. We saw the need for a place where grandparents could play with their grandkids, where experts could become great, and where beginners can pick up a paddle for the very first time...year round (despite wildfire smoke, inclement weather, heat, or snow). We wanted everyone to belong, and to find neighbors who will become teammates.

The place is here. The time is now.

Michelle Weymouth
Co-Founder

My name is Michelle Weymouth, and I’m originally from Augusta, Georgia. I’ve spent the past 26 years working in healthcare, but when the pandemic hit in 2020, pickleball became my medicine. It allowed me to be outside, socially distant, and still enjoy being with others. I found myself smiling constantly while playing, as it was an activity I could share with family and friends. However, as the weather changed and COVID cases rose, it became too cold for my Georgia blood to play outside. I wanted to continue playing pickleball in conditions that suited me. That’s when Stephen, Colin, and I realized how an indoor pickleball facility could be a blessing to our community. Pickleball Heights was created to bring people from all parts of our community together, providing a place where everyone can enjoy the game year-round.

Stephen Weymouth
Co-Founder

I’m Stephen Weymouth, the co-founder of Pickleball Heights. My journey with pickleball began over five years ago, and it has since become a passion that I eagerly share with others. Throughout these years, I’ve had the pleasure of playing pickleball both socially and competitively, participating in numerous tournaments, honing my skills, and deepening my love for the game. This experience has given me a unique perspective on the sport, blending the excitement of competition with the joy of social play. One of my greatest joys is teaching and introducing new players to pickleball, and there’s nothing quite like seeing someone hit their first successful shot or win their first game. My goal is to make pickleball accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their age or skill level.

Colin Olson
Co-Founder

I'm Colin! I was born and raised in Medford, where my love for competitive sports began early with tennis at the Southern Oregon Tennis Club when I was just six years old. In 2023, Stephen Weymouth introduced me to pickleball, which reignited my competitive drive and excitement for racquet and paddle sports. However, 2024 brought challenges with a broken rib from a ski crash and a separated shoulder from a mountain biking accident. After my recovery, I realized that pickleball offered a way to enjoy competition and progression without the risks associated with high-speed sports and gravity.  While I work professionally in the cardiovascular space in healthcare, pickleball has become a significant and fulfilling part of my life.
